Rescue Engine 74
Rescue Engine 74 (Engine/Rescue Squad) 2003 Pierce Lance with 8 person cab. 1500 GPM pump, 750 gallon tank, and 30 gallon class B foam tank. This unit carries normal Engine Company equipment, but also meets the Frederick County standards for a Heavy Rescue Squad. RE-74 has 6 pre-connected hand lines, 1500 ft. supply line, and a around the pump foam system. Other equipment include, 5 Hurst hydraulic tools including 1 Transformer spreader, 2 Extractor cutters, 2 Maverick Combi-tools, 2 Simo pimps, and 1 gas powered pump. This unit also carries 6 rams (ranging in sizes), a pedal cutter, cribbing, 2 complete sets of high pressure air bags, 5 ton floor jack, high lift jacks, RIT FAST bag, 3 sawa (K-12, Cutters Edge, and Chain saw), Stokes basket with rigging, Rope rescue and Water rescue equipment, water removal equipment, Hazmat pads and booms, meters, 1 Electric PPV fan, 1 Smoke ejector, 2 Electric reels, 1 air reel with on board compressor, 9000 pound portable winch with 4 mounting locations, 9000 watt light tower, 9 Quartz lights (2 tri-pods), etc... Rescue Engine 74 responds second or third out on fires (depending on area). It also responds as the Rescue Squad on all PIC's and Boxes where it is due. NOTE - This is Middletowns second Rescue Engine. MVFC help write the original standard for Rescue Engines for the County, and was the first Company to have a Rescue Engine. Our first unit was a 1990 Grumman Firecat, which was sold in 2003.


Engine 72
Engine 72 1996 Pierce Dash with 6 person cab. 1250 pump and 1000 gallon tank. This unit carries your normal Engine Compnay equipment including 7 pre-connected lines, a TFT Blitz-fire, 1800 ft. supply line, 1 electric PPV fan, a Bullard Thermal Imaging camera, meters, a Foam-pro with class A foam, and numerous hand tools. The Wagon responds first out on all first due and Mutual aide fires. This unit received a minor rehab in 2006 which included pump work, new emergency lighting, a new paint job, and then re-lettered to match our Rescue Engine.


Tanker 7 International / 4Guys Tanker.
Tanker 7 International / 4Guys Tanker. 500 GPM PTO pump and 1800 gallon tank. This unit carries equipment needed for Tanker/ water supply operations. It also carries a 2200 gallon portable dump tank, 2 attack lines, supply line, 2 SCBA, and hand tools. TW-7 responds second out on all non-hydrant fires behind the Engine, and also responds to mutual aide calls as needed. Tanker 7 is the first tanker owned by the MVFC. It has served us well.


Brush 75
Brush 75 1973 Ford F250 Super Duty. 400 GPM pump and 200 gallons of water. Carries normal brush truck equipment, and responds along with the Wildland Team on all incidents.


Ambulance 78 - 2004 Ford E450 - Horton Box.
Ambulance 78 2004 Ford E450 BLS Ambulance. Meets the Standard Frederick County and State of Maryland standards for a BLS unit.

Utilty 7
Utilty 7 1993 Ford F350. Is used for tranporting members to classes. Also used for fund raisers, assisting the Fire Companies Auxillary, as well as responding to Emergency responses and pulling the Wildland Trailer when needed.


Wildland Trailer
Wildland 7 This unit was purchased in 2004. The Middletown VFC is the home of the Frederick County Wildland Team. This is the first Wildland response team in the State of Maryland. In conjuction with the Department of Natual Resources (DNR), the team responds to incidents in Frederick County as well as other Counties in Maryland and other States. The trailer carries equipment including Wildland firefighting gear, bladder bags, chain saws, leaf blowers, back pack pumps, a portable dump tank, several Foam-pro packs with class A foam, forestry hose, lights, a generator, team radios, pulaski's, rakes, shovel, etc... The Team is also purchasing a all terrain vehicle through their budget, and that vehicle will also be stored in the trailor. Along with the team, Frederick County has also implemented a Wildland Task Force assignment, which consist of the team from Middletown as well as numerous other brush units and support vehicles from other Frederick County Stations that would be able to respond as a group to large incidents as needed.
